• advent-at-home

We have created “Advent-at-Home” boxes! This box will give you what you need to grow during this advent season. Advent simply means arrival. In this season we wait and prepare for the coming of Jesus on Christmas day.

In our Advent-at-Home box, we have an advent wreath so you can participate each week in worship as we light the candles in the advent wreath. Each message of the season comes with another element you can add to your wreath as you light a new candle from week to week. Also in the box is an Advent devotional Jar.

Advent-at-Home boxes are $30 and you can pick them up on Wednesday November 25th before 1pm at the church office, at Drive-Thru Communion, or for $5 we'll ship it right to your door!

    Buy your box here!

  • we want your old ipads!

Have an old iPad laying around your house? We are looking for some iPads that are looking for a purpose. We have people in our community that do not have access to a computer to watch our Sunday service and we want to enable them to do that. There are just three steps that you need to take:

    1. Turn off "Find My iPad" in the device settings.
    2. In settings, click "Erase All Contents and Settings" (Click here for more information.)
    3. Drop off your iPad at the church office.

If you have any questions or need help with this process, contact Mike Basil at mikeb@saintmatthew.org or 510-295-7120. If needed, we can also set up a no contact pickup.

  • coffee with the pastor

    Hello Church Family,

I am so happy to be here with you and I can't wait to get to know each of your stories. Transitioning in a pandemic is something else. Normally we could have all kinds of events to get to know one another but in a pandemic that becomes a bit more challenging. So, I need your help.

Over the next few months, I'll be hosting on Fridays, "Coffee with the Pastor." We will meet at Starbucks, 2856 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. You can sign up here and place your order for your favorite coffee or tea drink. Your drink and your pastor will be waiting for you. It's your hour so feel free to bring a partner, spouse, small group etc. I can't wait to hear your story.

    Peace and hope,

    Rustin
