This milestone has two parts. We will begin with an instructional meeting for parents and kids together on Sunday, September 11 at 11:45 AM. In this session we will share lunch and talk about what communion is, and why it is an important part of our faith journey. This will be followed by our celebration of First Communion the following week, on Sunday, September 18 during the 10:00 worship service. There is a materials fee of $20 per child.
The First Communion milestone is open to all children age 4 and up, and your family is welcome to participate when you feel your child is ready to learn the significance of the sacrament of communion.
