Welcome Home

Welcome to Saint Matthew, where there is room for everyone and a place for you.  We are on a journey to love God, love neighbor, and love self. We are a welcoming and inclusive community with the desire to form friendships, meet Jesus, and serve others.

Our Worship services are contemporary and relaxed and led by our worship team with a blend of modern songs and reworked hymns. We celebrate Communion at every service and welcome families to worship together or to drop off in our excellent Children’s programming.

FAQs

What time are services on Sunday?

We meet for in-person worship at 8:30 am for an intimate contemporary Chapel service and at 10 am for contemporary worship. Our 10 am service is live-streamed on our YouTube channel.

Where can I find Saint Matthew?

Saint Matthew is easy to find. It is located at 399 Wiget Lane In Walnut Creek . See our Contact page for an easy map.

Once I get there, will it be easy to find the building or room I'm looking for? Where do I park?

As soon as you enter the campus, you are welcome to park in the visitor parking in front of the offices or parallel in front of the church marked with our HELLO signs.  When you come in any entrance into the sanctuary building there will be a HELLO Spot with someone standing by to make your visit easy.   Our friendly team will help you find the Infant Care, Early Childhood, or Kid’s ministry areas.  They can also help you with any special needs you may have and even help you find a comfortable place to sit. If you want your kids to worship with you, feel free! There are Kid’s bags located at the HELLO Spot.

I won't know anyone. Where will I sit?

If you don't know anyone when you arrive, we guarantee you will before you leave! If you would feel more comfortable to know someone before you arrive, contact us today and meet someone over the phone, or arrange a visit to feel more comfortable.

I have small children.  Are their accommodations for families?

Yes! We love families. There are a few options at Saint Matthew because we want to support our families’ decisions about how they prefer to worship.

Babies and children are always welcome in our sanctuary! We also have a Quiet Room just off the Fellowship Hall for families needing space to calm, feed, or change a baby or busy toddler. (Look for the signs or ask one of our hosts.) There is a private family restroom, as well as a TV where you can see the service.

Our vibrant Children’s Ministry serves children from birth through fifth grade. We have programs at 10:00 AM every Sunday. Nursery starts at 3 months old, Preschool class is for 2.5-4 year olds, Early Elementary is TK/Kindergarten and First Grade; Upper Elementary is for 2nd through 5th graders.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to church in whatever you feel comfortable wearing. However, if you are self-conscious of what you are wearing compared to others, we certainly don't want that to be a distraction for you. On Sunday mornings, you will find many of our congregation wearing business casual to casual attire. But please know we are not concerned with what you wear. (PS, neither is Jesus :) )
